The Edinburgh Seven

Reading up on the history of the region I am trying (and encourage) looking for information from sources which include others than the victors. (They all seems to look alike, male, pale and bushy mustaches). Makes history much more interesting. Just read up on the first seven women to enroll at a British university (or Scottish, depending on, well, perspective). Men of the time had some definite issues with women attending classes with men let alone watching bodies being autopsied, dissected etc., so much so as to through garbage and mud at them and barring their entrance to the surgery hall.

While you’re at it look up Dr. Sophia Jex-Blake too.
