”This aircraft
respects women.” I wrote that since it reminded me of the picture I took of a
taxi in Delhi with a bumpersticker in the window stating the same thing. We are
going to need to print some more of those.

Flight Air India AI167
Accused- seat
12A.
Plaintif- seat 12B.
No recording.
Perhaps one
witness.
Do you remember
that Youtube clip that went around when an Indian woman was in the midst of
being sexually harrassed on a flight and she recorded it? We could probably
pull that up right now and watch it again.
Or we could just
look one row ahead to the left at the 60 year old man in 12A right here on our
flight.
Unbelievable. I
couldn’t understand why this woman came and sat next to Khaleda in a middle
seat, the one with the movie console which Khaleda was using since hers was
broken. Then I saw the woman’s tears. What the hell is going on?
Then the flight
attendant came and got her, moved her to business class and another male one
went over and basically reprimanded that man. I couldn’t hear the conversation
more than ”we don’t tolerate that” and ”I did not touch her” and it was
starting to get loud. He was most likely being clear about what was going to
happen when we landed in Stockholm. Khaleda said they took his passport.
Talk about not
being able to enjoy an upgrade to business class.
Khaleda promised
that we would walk out with her and stay with her until she met her party or
felt safe (a quarter past when hell freezes over). The flight attendants arranged personnel to be with her though.
So what happens
now, Air India?
