First step, first stop...Meeting with the director of The International Institute of Adult and Lifelong Education, Professor Shah.

From what I can gather so far, this teaching and research institute, through its roots in The Indian Adult Education Association (IAEA), is one of the oldest professional organizations in India (1939).
Some of the main issues they work with are Women's Empowerment, Urban Literacy, Counseling & Guidance, Non-formal Education- adult education in a nutshell.

They are also a Study Centre of Indira Gandhi National Open University ( IGNOU).

And just last year the director was recognized by UNESCO Institute of Lifelong Learning (UIL) after many years of international collaboration with other organizations.

So far we have IIALE,  IAEA, IGNOU, UIL...

And soon,  DSE... Department of Special Education...
